Ethan Hawke To Join Denzel Washington In Magnificent Seven Remake

Ethan Hawke is in talks to join the cast of MGM’s Magnificent Seven remake. If he decides to jump on board it will see him re-team with Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua, the team that brought us Training Day.

Chris Pratt and Haley Bennett are also signed up for the western that will be a remake of the 1960 movie that was itself a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai.

True Detective’s Nic Pizzolatto wrote the first draft of the script that John Lee Hancock (The Alamo, The Blind Side) has since rewritten.

The original Magnificent Seven were Yul Brynner, Steve Mcqueen, James Coburn, Charles Bronson, Horst Buchholz, Brad Dexter and Robert Vaughn who is the last surviving cast member.
